Particularly during the ongoing conflict in Gaza, employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), despite harsh conditions, continued their humanitarian efforts. UNRWA noted that many of its staff lost their lives during this period, emphasizing the dedication of aid workers to humanity.
In its statement, UNRWA said: “Many of our colleagues, who continue to provide vital support to those in need, paid the ultimate price. They acted for humanity.”
