Trump: We are all working for the same goal
Washington, August 18 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement on the main issues to be discussed at the upcoming meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders.
He noted that the day had been productive during the multilateral meeting with European leaders.
President Trump said: "Today has been a very successful day so far... We are all working for the same goal. We want to stop the killings and resolve this situation. Of course, we would prefer an immediate ceasefire while we all work for lasting peace. On this issue, Presidents Zelensky and Putin can talk more... But I believe that at the end of this whole process a peace agreement is achievable."
Highlighting that possible security guarantees and territorial arrangements would be discussed at the meeting, Trump added: "I am optimistic that with our joint efforts we can reach an agreement."
