Sybiha shared his talks with the US on the peace process
Washington, August 16 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked the United States for its support and commitment to peace efforts.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made remarks regarding the meeting between Ukrainian President Zelensky and US President Trump.
It was stated that during the talks, the leaders of Ukraine and the US will meet on Monday in Washington to discuss steps toward ending the war.
Sybiha emphasized the American side’s positive approach to developing a security guarantees infrastructure for Ukraine and said they supported Trump’s efforts to organize a trilateral summit of Ukraine–US–Russia leaders.
He noted that Putin’s intentions should be judged not by his words but by his concrete actions, stressing that increasing pressure on Moscow and strengthening Ukraine are critical to advancing peace.
Sybiha added that Ukraine acts in close coordination with all its allies and thanked Norway for its comprehensive assistance and the funds allocated for gas purchases.
He affirmed that Ukraine will continue its commitment to peace efforts, aiming to seize every opportunity to end the war, save lives, and free its people.
