Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsin Agabekyan Şahin today received Dutch Ambassador to Palestine Michel Rentenaar at the ministry building in Ramallah. Director General for European Affairs, Ambassador Adel Atiyeh, was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, Minister Şahin called on the Netherlands to recognize the State of Palestine, following the steps taken by many European Union countries. He emphasized that this step is important for achieving a two-state solution in accordance with international law, ending the occupation, and stopping the destructive policies against the Palestinian people.
