Moldovan President Sandu: Lasting peace depends on strong security guarantees
Chișinău, August 19 (Hibya) – Moldovan President Maia Sandu stated that she welcomes the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders in Washington to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine and the region and to pave the way for peace.
President Sandu commented on the negotiations held in Washington. Sandu said: "I welcome the tremendous efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders in Washington to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine and our region and to open the way to peace."
Sandu stressed that lasting peace depends on strong security guarantees, adding that they look with hope toward the next steps and stand by Ukraine.
