French President Macron emphasized that in Washington, together with Ukrainian President Zelensky and partners, they reiterated to U.S. President Trump their determination to unite efforts for a strong and lasting peace that protects Ukraine’s interests and Europe’s security.
Stating that strong security guarantees must be given to Ukraine in order to achieve such a peace, Macron said: “We decided to work with the United States in a very concrete way on this matter. It is also clear that pressure on Russia must continue until this peace is achieved.”
