Herzog: Holocaust memory is carried into the future through technology
Jerusalem, April 13 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that Holocaust testimonies will be passed on to future generations through a virtual reality project filmed in Auschwitz.
Israeli President Herzog attended the launch event of the “Triumph of the Spirit” project, which brings together Holocaust remembrance and technology.
Herzog stated that the virtual reality film shot in Auschwitz tells the story of Avigdor Neumann, saying, “Viewers can walk alongside Avigdor and witness the moments when the events took place.”
Herzog also shared that he met with 95-year-old Holocaust survivor Neumann, describing his story as “a symbol of hope, courage, and rebirth.”
Emphasizing the importance of the project in conveying Holocaust testimonies to future generations, Herzog thanked those involved.
