Fletcher: Canada strongly supports international humanitarian law
New York, August 16 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Tom Fletcher met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand to discuss humanitarian efforts in Gaza and Sudan.
UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Tom Fletcher, regarding his meeting with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, said: “We discussed humanitarian missions in Gaza and Sudan and Canada’s strong support for international humanitarian law.”
Fletcher emphasized Canada’s strong commitment to international humanitarian law.
During the meeting, he highlighted the importance of effective humanitarian operations and the rapid response to needs in crisis areas, stressing Canada’s contribution to humanitarian missions and its intention to strengthen international cooperation.
