EU Commission President von der Leyen in Washington
Washington, August 18 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, along with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, held meetings in Washington D.C.
Von der Leyen stated that they would attend a joint meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden. In her remarks, she emphasized that they are working to end the bloodshed in Ukraine and to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The summit is expected to address the Russia–Ukraine war in particular, as well as regional security and diplomatic solutions.
