Dar met with representatives of the Pakistani community in the UK
Islamabad, August 18 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held a meeting with Lord Qurban Hussain, accompanied by leaders of the Kashmiri-origin community living in the United Kingdom.
The meeting discussed issues related to the Pakistani community in the United Kingdom. Minister Dar highlighted the deep historical and cultural ties between Pakistan and the UK, emphasizing the constructive role of British parliamentarians of Pakistani origin in strengthening bilateral relations.
Dar also touched on the issue of Mirpur Airport, noting that the relevant institutions were continuing work to complete the necessary legal processes.
Furthermore, Dar proposed a public-private partnership (PPP) financing model for the project and invited the Kashmiri diaspora in the UK to invest in it. The delegation welcomed the proposal.
