Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made statements on developments in energy markets and leveled accusations against the United States (US) administration and pro-Israel actors.

In a post on his social media account, Araghchi said: “Our intelligence is making a major effort to manipulate energy markets.”

Araghchi said some elements of the US government were trying to influence energy prices through the media.

Araghchi said: “Elements of the US Government are using naive media to influence prices for personal gain and bog US President Donald Trump down in a losing war.”

Saying that “pro-Israel actors are also encouraging war with rosy pictures,” Araghchi stated that consumers in the US were feeling the effects of the war and developments in energy markets, adding: “US consumers are feeling the weight of the real picture.”
