Minister Anand celebrates the Festival of Lights
Ottawa, October 29 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand celebrated the Festival of Lights, known as Diwali.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand shared moments from her celebration of Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, in a social media post.
Emphasizing that Diwali is one of her favorite times of the year, Anand said that Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree also attended the celebrations held at Parliament Hill.
In her post, Anand stated, "From a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, to the heart of our country's democracy, it is especially moving for me to see the traditions I grew up with being celebrated here. May the Festival of Lights remind us of the hope we bring into each other's lives and the strength that comes from coming together as a community."
