Anand: We will provide $5 million in humanitarian aid to Nepal
Ottawa, August 29 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that $5 million in humanitarian assistance will be provided to support emergency relief efforts following severe flash floods in Nepal.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that $5 million in humanitarian assistance will be provided to Nepal.
Anand said the aid would be delivered to those in need through humanitarian organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and the Red Cross, and that the support would be used for food, clean water, shelter, health services and sanitation needs.
It was also stated that Canadian consular officials in the region are continuing their efforts to identify and support Canadian citizens in the country.
